june : friday afternoon

What is it with the cold, grey Fridays around here? I suppose, today IS the first official day of Winter, so I shouldn’t really expect glorious sunshine. Sunday, though…Sunday was glorious.

I went for a little sniff around the swimming baths just down the road. In summertime, the pool is full of kids jumping off the pontoons, teenagers lying around and soaking up the sun, and older folk calmly and steadily swimming back and forth in the ‘laps area’.

Whenever my family come to stay, I take all and any kids down there, because…well, surely it’s some kind of Auntie Law. Right?

Today, though, it was quiet. Peaceful and still. A perfect day for a little walk.

  1. Love those reflections Cathy. I’ve been down to the baths at Coogee beach and having never come across anything similar, was very taken by them and the atmosphere around them. Little bit magic.

  2. There are quite a few harbour pools dotted around the place. Another of Sydney’s lovely features…
